Northmere is a sol pb community set in a fictional town located just outside of Boston, Massachusetts. Comprised of 15,000 residents and up to 65,000 in the summer months. With a booming tourism landscape, Northmere is an affluent, cozy coastal community where anything is bound to happen. There are several neighborhoods where your character can choose to reside, along with the option of traditional employment or owning/working at one of the many established businesses in town. We are a drama friendly, smut friendly, everything but being a dick to each other kind of community.
Our goal is to promote interaction, writing, new ideas, and anything our writers are inspired to explore. Some things members can expect are community events (check out the calendar when you join!) both mod and member run, writing challenges, community-wide plots (major and minor), along with curveballs (such as the beach being closed because of a shark sighting, disaster drill, the power is out, etc)! |

RULES

1. While fully understanding that everyone has real world priorities and responsibilities, we require that everyone post some type of activity that shows effort on the friends page once a month. This includes, but is not limited to a traditional narrative, mood board, instagram/social media post, or any sort of interactive post with comments enabled. We also ask that everyone comment publicly on the friends page as often as possible, though there are no set rules for frequency. 2. First and foremost please, treat fellow community members with respect. We expect collaboration, consent, and kindness from everyone in the community, as well as not crossing the out of character/in character boundary. This is meant to be a silly, fun, and safe space for everyone to write together. Do not randomly spring a major line or life event on someone without discussing it with them ooc first. 3. We are an almost anything goes community, meaning traditionally unconventional storylines and ideas are allowed. We do however strive for semi-realism and play by tv show rules, meaning Bob the florist might be an undercover CIA agent or there could be a serial killer in our midst. Anything major that could affect everyone in the community should be run by the mods first so that we may do a community poll to gauge interest and appeal. 4. All characters should be 21+ and we are abiding by the general five year rule of your pb for your character. While we do allow for small faux claims (i.e. sports characters, influencers, businesses) we do not accept major claims of A list stars, i.e. the credits of Taylor Swift or Pedro Pascal. 5. We don't allow the use of outside apps (i.e. discord, wire) for in character purposes. You are more than welcome to chat ooc with your friends, but we ask that things like creating storylines, planning events, or gossiping about fun ic things all stay in the ooc community. 6. Please don't be a dick. |
